Some things I know...

I know I will never be 17 again...it wasn’t the best time for me to BE;
Not wanting to revisit all the things of the person who WAS me.

I know I won’t look or act the same as years gone by;
The things I said and did then...now, I don’t know why.

I know I am different...I’m still me but, yet not the same;
A changed view?  A new breath of air?  It doesn’t have a name.

I know what I want...what I need, and yet my quest remains...how;
For every day I am searching, I must be patient, the answer is not ready now.

I know there is more...more for all that IS me;

I know I have a choice...and for now I choose to BE.
